Chronic infections such as Lyme Disease and persistent viral infections such as long covid-19, chronic Epstein-Barr virus, chronic hepatitis C, etc., are common causes of chronic illness. Persistent infections may involve stages of both silent and productive infections. This course will present a review of immunological mechanisms and an evidence-based model to support these patterns.
